Ok everyone I need some help. This weekend I got in and started the truck and ran it on high for awhile doing somethings around the homestead and when I got in to go for a ride I had a warning/info message on dash to check brakes at next stop and the ABS light was on also. The only thing that happened was when I started up the trcuk I turned around to get something form the back and hit the brakes by mistake a few time before the air pressure built up. Don't know if that did anything. Anyway does anyone have suggestions what to look for? The light won't go off so evidently the system detected some sort of fault. I didn't have time to check the manual yet. Any help would be appreciated. Took for a short ride and everything seemed OK.

Thank,
Charlie

Coincidence. Suzy Q had the same thing happen on Sunday morning. The fault code translated to a low voltage condition on the sensors.

She sat at her destination for the day. Upon starting again for the trip home, the ABS light did not come on again.

If it pops up again, I'm taking her to the shop for a check.

If you light does not go off, I wouldn't wait long.

I think we don't use them enough.

About 2 months ago I started to get a low coolant warning, checked & rechecked and had plenty of fluid. Finally took it in for a few items and had them check that, ended up replacing that sensor. Just got it back and this past weekend I got a low oil level warning light that faintly was trying to come on.(full oil) It ended up going out within 20 minutes.

I think these things don't get used like their used to.
