hell i still (prefer) wired headphones or a wired/digital connection to my (i)Phone over bluetooth - the quality is much higher than wireless bluetooth.

I was only letting you know that you can obtain "wire" speed over wifi (saving $ and time), and you don't have to have a long cable or jack/connection everywhere you want to sit (think outside the coach, in a chair w/ a cold beverage, trackside).

I have had this problem with the old floor in the box. Its what to do ? Their are some of the hard wood lamination that are split. Can see the light under the truck.Maybe 1/16" or smaller.

Put a hard wood ply over it ? But how do you seal it ? What about sound deadening ? Waterproofing ?

What to do ? I was reading a post over at Steel Soldier about sound deadening. They were using something called Peal and Stick. This is a rolled roofing material with a alum cover .Shop Peel & Seal Instant Waterproof Repairs 3-ft W x 33.5-ft L 100-sq ft Aluminum Roll Roofing at Lowes.com

It seals, sticks to wood ( and just about anything it gets near ) works as a good sound deadener. Water proof.

So this is the way I went. Over this will be cork flooring.

Used alum. tape for A/C for the seams.
I will get the rest down and we will see how well it works ?

Bob86ZZ4 03-19-2016 01:16 PM

Looks pretty good to me.

Schiada 03-19-2016 06:51 PM

Thanks Bob.

Its all down not. With all the wiring done .I can run the A/C. ( we will hit 90+ today) Nice an cool. Still was a lot of work.

The plan now is to install 1/4" hard wood ply where the bath floor is going and tile over that, vinyl . And under all the build in cabinets. The rest will get cork flooring.

The big gear shift is going to be doing cabinets. Setting up my "T" square table saw next week. Been in storage for years. Need to go to YouTube and relearn how to us it ?

You can see one of the BIG divits in the floor. Luckey a cabinet goes over it.

Still lots to do but I think I can see day light ant the end of this tunnel.

Waiting for some stuff so I did some plumbing. The shower / tub is all set up. Still need to cut the holes for the glass but had to work out the holes first.

Long story. To do the new water lines I need to drop the exhaust system. Why did I put it under the truck ?

Now back to a stack. I have 10" to put the 5" system and will use a muffler insert in the stack.

Test. What are these ?

https://www.truckconversion.net/attac...c591f8834a.jpg

The mounts for the pipe hangers. Over built but don't think it will fall off. LOL

https://www.truckconversion.net/attac...2014f334d2.jpg

Painted them white and are drying now. Test install.

https://www.truckconversion.net/attac...1cf6b821db.jpg

If you look close that is the new exhaust pipe header. Will run flex from their to the 90* then up the pipe.

Here is the old muffler and then the insert. Their is no room for the old style (BIG) muffler.

https://www.truckconversion.net/attac...5622370dd5.jpg

This is a performance muffler and meets CA. regs. Hope its not to load ?

Now I will get back to the water and install the sub floor and maybe the tile in the bath ?

Schiada 04-14-2016 11:35 PM

Underlayment is down along with the tile and toilet is reinstalled.

The new 5" stack got here today. Dented ! I hate UPS and the dumass that packed it !

Schiada 05-03-2016 09:18 PM

I'm going to use the dented stack for now. And its free, seems like no body wanted to come a get it.

Now on to what I have been doing. Started on the outside grill . Has a 2 burner and a pull out table.

Pull out will have a stainless top. I like the way it came out.

I will finish the top and then move on to the stack/exhaust.

bushpilot 05-03-2016 09:36 PM

NICE! VERY nice!

hot rod 05-03-2016 09:50 PM

I like it! I have that same grill (Go Sam's Club!) and scratched my head bloody trying to figure out a space saving way to mount it (I was thinking sliding drawer) that didn't use up the entire compartment. Great thinking on the hinge. Why didn't I think of that?

What are you doing for he gas supply? Plumbing to the camper system? Or toting a tank in the compartment? That is the only compact grill we could find that used an actual regulator and standard tank hook up, as opposed to the typical high pressure disposable tank setup. Should be able to eliminate the regulator and plumb into the camper system.

Schiada 05-03-2016 10:31 PM

Hi guy's.

I will plum it to the trucks tanks. Just need a 90 deg. fitting at the Grill. From their to a hose then to the manifold for LP things.

Still working out the hose run ?

I will take a photo of the attachment at the grill. Don't know if it will be strong enough ? We will see. And I still need to come up with some kind of keeper when the storage position ?

Schiada 05-04-2016 11:41 PM

Here is the mount. Not sure the SS cabinet is strong enough ?

Stack is done. What a pain ! Took forever to drive the stack muffler in. Then some welding.

Things are looking great love the grill set up.

Schiada 05-06-2016 07:16 PM

Had some steel come in today so I made up some recovery points. The cool part is their is a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" port in the chassis front casting. Very HD. Don't know what is for but it sure is big.

And I can use a T pin to install. Pin is rated at 87,000 lbs. Something from the army.

hot rod 05-07-2016 08:52 PM

I'm thinking I'd add some gussets where the bracket welds to the sheet metal of the grill, just to spread out the load beyond the one weld point. I need to build one of those!
