My girl and I are heading for Elkhart to tour the builders and finalize our conversion. Aside from the builders, where else do you recommend?

Normally I would say hit some of the surplus dealers like bontrager's in White Pigeon, MI or some of the others right in Elkhart as most of us are building ourselves and looking for good deals on components. But if you are having one built, I don't know if that would interest you.
Hey, don't forget the RV Manufacturers hall of fame museum! lol.

Saw that on the side of the highway when I was there in August. It's worthwhile to stop in, is it?

Bontragers in white pidgen is huge, so is RV surplus in Elkhart, Bobs RV has lots of new surplus items and some surplus, all are worth stopping, even if someone else is building your rv, you will find cool stuff you never thought of and get some ok deals on it too.

Never stopped at the museum, just chuckled while driving by. Probably got some federal stimulus money to build it. Go Obama! lol.

Not to be nosy, but who's doing your build? What kind of unit?

We stopped at the RV Hall of Fame last fall on our way South. We spent 3 or 4 hours there and truly enjoyed it. They have some awesome old rigs on display. According to the information posted there it was built with money provided by the RV Manufacturing Industry.

Not nosy at all. Haven't decided which one is going to get my money. Liked what I saw at all of them, have to make the decision this trip.
