Hey Bob ... I saw your posts here: forums/f84/ball-mount-hitch-plate-40-000-lb-hitch-4147

I am looking at doing the same thing for the channel mount hitch on my 2019 Renegade. The pictures didn't come through on the forum posts ... would you be able to send me a link to pictures of the hitch your buddy made you?

Just saw your message.... Sold my house and am on the road with sometimes limited internet. Anyhow, yep I went to the HDT Rally and no, I have never worked in the twin cities area. Sometime I would like to meet you, but I am in Oklahoma then heading further south!

For sure you should go to the rally. There are always attendees that don't have a truck yet. The rally is the best for that type of person. There usually is somebody camping in a tent, and others staying in a smaller rv or at the nearby hotel/motels. Everybody is very very friendly and they all love to help jump in a new person to the mix.

I appreciate the response. I actually got started with my research on the HDT Escapee forum. They've been great so far and have been very inspirational with how awesome their rigs are.

I am familiar with 1Rod, but didn't know he was a traveling nurse. That's great information. Thank you for that. I wanted his setup from the instant I saw it.

What are your thoughts on the HDT rally? I'm considering attending it for informational purposes to see what's possible, but I feel a little weird showing up without anything to show off or share. I appreciate the offer to show your truck to me. I'll likely take you up on that.

Hello from the other side of MSP Airport if you are still living in St Paul. We haven't met, but I saw that you were an active member on the forum and were right here in Minnesota as well. My wife and I live in Richfield.

I like your rig! I started seriously researching truck conversions and every variety of having a home on wheels a few weeks ago because my wife is in the process of securing a work as a travel nurse practitioner. The first thing I started looking into was the licensing and registration issues. From what I can tell, I'm quite pleased regarding how liberal Minnesota seems to be about most of it in terms of what needs a CDL and what doesn't.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi from across the airport. I hope you are well.
