Sadly we as well went down the reefer box road and found moisture in the interior boards....we stripped it as well and are currently rebuilding it.....would have been better off to start with a dry van box. My advise, for what its worth....if you want to go reefer box for the R value etc pull the interior roof lights and check for moisture.....if there is any sign in the tiniest walk away.
