Do you think the damaged occurred on the left rear because the driver was turning right and forgot about the tail swinging wider?

Kind of looks like one of those: "Easy, Careful, DDDDOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" moments.

Like something I'd do. Once the damage is done, you just leave it as it. If you repair it, you or someone else will damage it again and then you'll really feel bad.
