I don't have one yet,but I'm planning on it.As you may have read on an earlier post,I went to Merriam to see Larry (onezman) and one of his conversions.I was hooked..Now as I try to sell my
Dodge dually to be able to purchase a truck from Larry,I would like to gather some more info:
Where,brand,size etc of Microwave,
Same for the fridge,
I enjoyed the posts by Comdac re the Notebook holder, and signal lights..I've scrounged around on the net and found others with these trucks,OPM, for one.Sure would like to see some posts from them and their mods..invertors,generators,how is it bobtailing, anybody have the wife following in a car to avoid bobtailing..Sorry for the long post
but I sure am wanting to get my teeth into this.
Thanks
Fuzz

Hey Fuzz,

Go here

Escapees Forum

and select the MDT forum. Search that section for "Volvo" and you will find many post by Oldphoneman, Larry Zeigler, Butch50, BillR, and others. You will also find a link to the website of Oldphoneman. Many good, clear photos of his modifications.

Hi Fuzz,

I buy refrigerators and Microwaves at Walmart. The Refrigerator I generally buy is about 18 by 18 by 20". That size fits nicely behind the passenger seat after removing the wardrobe closet. This allows the passenger to fully recline that seat if they choose.

Microwaves are availiable in about any size you might choose. Each appliance costs under $100.

Doug's post above is an excellent source of information. OLDPhoneman has taken close up pictures of each of his modifications and includes descriptions of what he has done in each picture.
