yes, you need to put in a 50 dollar isolator between the alt and house batts, the isolator is like a big diode which only allows electricity to go one way.

Clarifying further... the isolator that Blizz mentions allows both the truck and coach batteries to be charged at the same time by the truck's alternator. It also ensures that neither will be over charged or drained by an unintended load. One source to check out is Sure Power.
