When purchasing used trucks, make sure of one important item. Look to see if the front seals are leaking on the front wheels. My KW T300 has 320,000 and I just replaced the seals, cups, cones and gaskets to the caps. I also through on a set of new brakes on both sides and painted the drums and etc.
Next, make sure you adjust the brakes and check the air boosters and slack adjusters for the proper play. Make sure all the grease fittings take grease. Look for leaks and repair them regardless of what needs to be done.
I have a KW dealer in Michigan that has a super parts manager that has helped me with my maintenance and parts, also with technical questions.
Keep on top of your truck so it is road ready.
