Hello Everybody,
Must say, WOW you guys have some very nice Rigs.
We have a Mercedes 917 4x4, which we will be replacing for a little older Model so we can Import it under the 25 year rule. Yeah the last 7-8 years been living abroad in Europe.
Now I do have one question, where I hope someone can help us.
We are moving to the Ft Myers area and we will be starting our trips from there.
Now my question: Our new Truck will have lived its former Life as a Firetruck, Commercial Rig or military Truck. Now we will transfor it to a full (stealth / off the grid) Truck. Which will include Bed, running Water, Sink, stove (non gas), Beds, Dinning, Bathroom, Heater and so on. Will it be hard to get it registerd as a RV in the state of Florida. Or where cab i find Information what the requirments would be.

thanks in advance
Mike

Wow, that's some big plans. I'm wondering how hard it would be to get a rig into the US and get it licensed and such? That sounds like it would be your hardest hurdle to get over. I think getting it to pass as an rv wouldn't be that hard. You just need to have those living things in it. Some states I think you just say they're there. Other states require a law officer to look at it and say they are there. Those Mercedes 917's are cool looking for sure. I just googled some pictures of them. You sure you can get one licensed in the US? I don't think I've seen anything like that roaming around here. Fort Meyers is a nice area for sure.
