Question water - methanol injection?

We are considering a water-methanol injection kit from Snow Engineering on our 8.2 turbo Detroit diesel (230hp). Snow says their unit has a stand alone computer so will work on our non-computer 1989 Topkick. They claim 50hp to 100 hp increase, 1 to 3 mpg increase and cooler EGT. Have any of you folks had any experience with this or similar systems?

What are you trying to accomplish? How many miles a year do you put on?

Looking for a little more up hill tourque. We put on about 20,000 miles a year. I think we will be ok on this side of the hills (Rockies) but pretty sure we would have to crawl to go west.

Have you looked at what Gale Banks offers? I see lots of racers putting Gale Banks conversions on their trucks. Good luck!
