Uh, Geof?
Y'know, just because there ain't a law against something, doesn't necessarily mean it's a "GOOD IDEA". Knowaddamean?

Gary:....It is difficult to be the "First" these days but someones got to do it...might as well be me...Though I'm not interested in patent rights or anything else like that, I'm doing this for my self[which I always do] BTW it is not used when driving down-just when canping in cold weather-which I will have to get used to when I get back from Florida.....geof- keep thinking of the how and who makes the stove for me will ya?.

No sweat man, just thought you were due for a little friendly agitatin'. Actually it sounds like a cozy idea; ought to be a hot item!

I know that some of the Prevost conversions have gas fireplaces in them so I don't think there are any laws against it. I say go for it and let us know how it goes.

GEOF,
Well I am sure it did not strike everyone as it did me... Let me see you want to install a pellet buning stove for your RV.... you have a poop burning toilet in your RV.... can you work these two innovations together?.. would you have to raise rabbits??? ...
seriously though..I remember a friend of my brother's many years ago was one of the pioneers in the making of the pellets you are speaking of.. In Maine or Conecticut I beleive... (not that there was a market for heat in those states) I did a quick search and found a wealth of information... here two of the first links I looked at ... man is that a pretty stove..?? !!!

....I'm continuing to work on the idea-some manufactures are interested some are just stupid.....pellet stoves are growing industry as they are now electonic controlled and by-pass the EPA on smoke and soot already with no cat-cracker.....burning a forest waste product...at $12.00 for 1,000,000 BTU's of fuel....with a small fire behind a glass door like a freestanding fireplace.....though I'm still too lazy to build one myself-but thinking about it....geof-[gotta hurry up Florida trip next week and young semi nekked women-reasonably priced-with no expectations of a future.....OY!]

GK,
I new a singer back in the 80's that retired from driving truck and converted his trailer into a RV/sound hauler. He had a "BUCK STOVE" potbelly in the RV section for heat. It worked well. Of course, that was before pellet stoves became popular. I would guess he heated about 40' with that thing alone.
