I ran Suzy Q over a scale with 125 gallons of diesel in the tanks. 16,000 was the result.

The Cummins N14 engine weighs 2,805 pounds. The M11, or ISM weighs about 2,100 p0unds. So the same truck with the ISM would weigh about 700 pounds less.

Fuel weighs about 8 pounds per gallon.

Perhaps my scaled weights will give you a picture .. .. ..

Tractor Bobtail/2 People - Initial Trip Home/NO Cargo - 1/2 Fuel - M11 Engine

Stear = 9950 (rated for 12,000)
Drive = 5600 (rated for 19,000)

Tractor/Trailer/2 People - Picking Up Empty 5th Wheel- 1/4 Fuel - Holland Hitch

Stear = 9850
Drive = 7650
Trlr = 12450

Pin = 2050
Trlr = 14500 - Total Dry Weight

3 - Week Trip/Tractor Trailer/2 People/Fuel Forgot!!

Stear = 9700
Drive = 8750
Trlr = 13550

Air Hitch installed w-pin 29" behind axle center line.

I estimate I'll add another 2500 Lbs. for full timing.

I hope the comments of Chris,Larry and myself have helped "paint the picture" for you.
