I used to see a bolt on overdrive assembly for automatics. Does anybody know of a source for these? I have a service truck that needs more top end and I cannot change the ring and pinion becouse international built this unit strictly for this ratio and does not make any other set.
Thaks,
Wick

I have the gear vendor on my F350, 5spd, but they build the auto matic version also. One of the best investments on the one ton other than the Banks System that I made.

Good company, great service and rock solid unit.

If you crawl under the tuck there should be a tag on the axle that will tell you what axle it is and what the current gear ration is. Today manufactures use commecially available axles and generally do not build there own axles. Any good truck axle shop can probably change the axle ratio.

That should be in the list of the manufacturer's part directory.. check it with the dealer. GoodLuck!

US Gear went belly up - Gear Vendors is your only choice now.
I added a Gear Vendors <dbl overdrive> to my 2004 F350 (crewcab long bed, 4x4 automatic) - its really made a difference.

ive got the factor automatic in my f350 w/ 3.73 differential - where i was turning 2000 rpm @ 72mph now im barely turning 1400 - at 95mph im turning 2000 rpm now.
