Default Cliff & Wendy saying hello

Hi we have wound up here at this forum through a lot of research and reading trying to identify our new home and how we could have something that would be solid and reliable.
Our goal is to get a rig of some type to live in full time. This started with the usual reading and looking at RV's that were for sale, bumper pull, fifth wheel, class a and conversion MCI bus and the class 8 conversions.
So far we have decided that even the top line class a motor homes with the big bays underneath will be close to capacity and we still have a lot of things to load up. The MCI bus looked good with the big bays and the capacity to carry a lot of weight, but I am not convinced that the older two stroke DD engine is what I am interested in, so here we are!

thanks,
Cliff & Wendy

first welcome, secondly, I come from the bus coaches and moved to TC. The 2 stroke Detroits aren't so bad. As with all this stuff. It depends on your needs. I had a Silver Eagle with the 871 that would hum at 65+ mph and got incredible mileage. Great road bus, but I wouldn't want to drive short trips with it all the time. Had a MCI with the 6v92 that never had any problems. Although the MCIs are known for huge turning radius. The MCI needed a large amount of room to turn around.

I changed to TC because my needs changed. Only you can make that decision. Good Luck

Welcome! Have you been looking on Race, performance & street cars, engines, engine parts, trailers for sale ? Usually a good selection of truck conversions there.
