Removing sleeper and placing box
Is it an optical illusion or is that box less than full width? Like maybe 7'6" or so? Wondering about why the rear tires hang out.
The box is not mounted on the truck it's 8 ft wide. Still have to cut walk through hole and paint front wall install boot ring and paint the truck wall and roof
I have a 98 377.. was thinking of doing the same thing...
My pete had a sleeper and someone made a day cab out of it, now I dont have a seal to go to the box.. that might be an easy fix but im stumped as to what to do with the air ride on the cab.. there don't look like there is any room to keep them on the cab and still mount the box.. Do you have any pics? thanks |
My truck was a day cab. They bolted down the cab to the frame, no air ride. I think most of the truck conversions have the cabs locked down. But some have managed to keep the air ride and use the accordian boot.
We made mounts for my cab peterbilt mounts were outrageous the sleeper boot for a unibilt cab has no give for airide cab with fixed box.
We also went under the truck and removed the air lines and plugged fittings off @ the tanks
