Default Heavy Duty Trailer Hitches

Does anyone know who builds this hitch? Was it custom made? Any idea how it works? Hydraulic cylinder that moves the hitch up and down? Its on the back of a Kingsley coach and is billed as a 40,000# hitch. Thanks!

Have you tried calling tour bus companies like Hemphill Coach? They might be able to help you find out the information. Apparently non of us know :-)

I'll take a stab at it. I think each coach builder just builds their own how they want to. My truck has a similar but not identical hitch. There's no indication on any of these types of hitches that I've looked at that they're made by some company. I looked at a bunch of t/c's before I bought mine too. I even called United Specialties (before they went out of business, builder of my coach) asking them where they got the hitch to see if I could buy another one since the welded the 2 5/16" ball on and I wanted to be able to pull a 2" ball. They said they could build me another sliding insert for it. I ended up having a welder make me one out of 1/2" plate:

I don't think that Kingsley hitch has anything to slide it up and down. You pull the pin and hold on tight, then slide it where you want it. That's how mine works anyhow. And I'm pretty sure those are the same.

im looking for a 2 or 2.5 inch receiver myself - if anyone knows where i can buy one
feel free to speak up <please>

heres mine - looks EXACTLY like bob's & our coach is a haulmark - so my bet is someone has produced these beasts.

Im looking for a RECEIVER hitch w/ a 2 or 2.5 inch receiver tube.
Im looking for a matching one to the one pictured below - but w/ the receiver tube.

Not sure where to buy one.
