Seems like there are some slideouts that have side windows, the ones that would be fore and aft,

and some that don't have side windows like these two photos show

Seems like the side windows open up the slideout making it more living conducive.

Why would somebody build a slideout without side windows? Would they regret it later?

Any comments on this?

I prefer the windows in the sides of the slide-out. It allows more light on the inside of the coach.
