....anyone tried an "INCINOLET ELECTRIC TOILET" IN AN RV....LMK....geof

DrFun 08-23-2004 11:46 AM

I hadn't heard of these before your posting. But, from one of your other posts, it sounds like you've ordered one.

Let us know what you think and if you recommend this toilet.

For other interested folks, more info is here: Incinolet

Incinolet works by literally burning up the waste. I don't know much more except they've been around a while. Sounds like a hot item.

....Oh Gary!...your humor almost escaped me for a moment!...now I won't be able to sleep without chuckling half the nite....-I will let you know about the electric toilet in a month when it gets shipped....about $1600 so far. OY! but after the black water tank experience in '73 or so -NO MORE DUMPING!-...I might be old and 20# over weight but I ain't stupid....I learn by my mistakes the first time.....just glad there were no pictures taken....goef

Here is a link I found about these. A fairly unbiased opinion.

take note of the 'performance' section.

....damit I can't get it to open for what ever reason.....must be dirty pix again.....geof

Just did. The part about incomplete combustion of waste has me a bit put off. As hot items go, I suppose this ain't quite hot enough.

.....I know better than eat popcorn seeds.....geof

KAYE RIVERCITY 08-26-2004 07:55 PM

....maybe the timer was set improperly also.....or low voltage.....geof

Oakland Mike 08-27-2004 06:23 AM

Of course the date of this was 1999. I am sure that there have been some improvements since then. I think they even mention that you had to wait until an incinerating cycle was complete before using it again which I think is no longer true.

I know someone who put on in his cabin and it wouldn't keep up.

Gary Atsma 08-27-2004 07:56 PM

Bet he's pretty burned up about that.

KAYE RIVERCITY 08-27-2004 09:53 PM

....wonder how you'd ship it back it the manufacture?...geof

Gary Atsma 08-29-2004 05:09 PM

Good question, but not worth raising a stink over....

KAYE RIVERCITY 08-29-2004 09:01 PM

.....in these days of terroism, do you think the Post Office would open it to find a "stink bomb?".....geof-OY!

Gary Atsma 08-30-2004 05:59 PM

Yeah.... nothing like trying to DE-FUSE the REFUSE, huh?
They ought to get a real BANG outta that!
My nose is itching just thinking about it....
Hey, gotta SCAT! Seeya!

KAYE RIVERCITY 08-30-2004 11:37 PM
