Cost of adding a side entry door
 

Hi to all,

I'm slowly getting my idea, parts and pieces to get my project started. I've found many, many 28 ft nice box van bodies but none with a side entry door with steps like a lot of LKQ parts delivery trucks, windshield deliveries and such usually have. My question is, have any of you guys ever had a door like this cut into and installed on a box van body so I can compare costs of installing a door into a body or stretch a shorter body with a door already in it. Any help or $$$ figures is greatly appreciated, I've attached a picture of the type of entry door I'm speaking of. The body I'll be using will not have a over the cab "attic", more like the 2nd picture shows because the truck is a condo sleeper.

Looks like the door in the second picture is a slider type. I'm guessing that might be more expensive. You can pick up a rv type side door pretty cheap at the rv surplus places. Some framing inside shouldn't cost much.
