Many many posts and threads on this subject.

In CA you ARE limited to 65ft. Regardless what is legal in your state as soon as you enter another state you are subject to their laws and regs (at least regarding weight and lengh).

If your 70 most likely nobody stops you, they have other stuff to do. If you are 100... hm...well another story.

Btw, no TV-5er-boat legal here either.
