We are still in spring 2005, so why is god's name are we seeing some companies tout that they have 2006 models?

I know the truck mfg'ers are not into the 06 model year.

I have mostly seen Renegade doing this, and it just does not make sense.

Thanks John, I had a look-see and it looks like I have a 2006 M2. All of the cabs with the increased hood size are showing has 06. So my truck was completed the first week of February and it already is a 2006.

Unless I missing some significants to this practice of putting a future year on a truck that was built in the past, that is just plain stupid.

A lot of manufactures are only set up to run a certain number of vehicles thru in a given model year. For example, Newell only sells 40 (IIRC) units in a given model year. When I was at the Tampa RV Show in Jan they took a deposit on their last 2006 model on the Wed of the show. By Sun they had already sold 12 of the 2007s. Now that last 2006 coach will be delivered right about this time maybe next month and then the 2007s will start to be delivered a week or so after that. This is one way to keep your cashflow and resale numbers good.

My coach was built on a 2004 Volvo but is registered as a 2005 Kingsley and I took delivery in Oct 2004.
