wick even if you did the work yourself, i don't think that that it could be done for much less than $4500.00. that looks like a front cap, windshield, and maybe the entrance door. then installation could run around a week, and painting. still it's a clean unit, but on the other hand it will always have a salvage title--------mase

That title could be easily "washed"

In ALL states? Not being sarcastic; I don't know about these things.

From what I have read (I may be wrong it happens) If you repair it, and transfer reg to a different state a lot of time the salvage part will disappear. Also that says rebuldable salvage, so I would expect once you rebuilt it and it wa sonspected that could be lifted from the home state where it was issued.... JMHO

Having done a thousand or so salvage vehicles I would like to know where this phantom title washing actually takes place. Granted maybe one or two could slip through the cracks but as a dealer if it does you better make sure it says rebuilt salvage or you'll end up buying it back somewhere down the road.

I only know what I have read, doesn't make it true or not.. But a rebuildable is different than a straight salvage title I believe

I have never heard of a rebuildable title. Salvage titles make the vehicles rebuildable or repairable, atleast in the states I work with.
