Found this on Truck paper, thought it might interest someone on the list. Not mine but wish it was.

That is a NICE truck. Just needs a set of Alcoas to finish it off. This truck could tow ANY 5'er anywhere anyone wants. It has looks and power. Not a bad ASKING price either.

Since it is a single axle, that brings up another question. Although the ad doesn't specify, as Larry has pointed out in the past, virtually all factory singles have a 23,000# rear, which Larry says rides very rough. I know Larry has some techniques for softening up air ride rear suspensions. Does anyone know if a 23,000# air ride rear can be sufficiently softened to give a good ride?

It does have air-ride rear suspension, so even if the capacity is 23K it might not be an issue. Even if it is, I'm sure it could be dealt with inexpensively. Most air-rides are not really that complicated.

I was referring to a post for Larry I saw a while back. Someone had found a used Volvo that had air ride and a single axle and asked Larry if it was a good deal. Along other comments, Larry said it probably had a 23,000# rear and that those ride very roughly. He didn't mention whether there was any way to soften it enough for a good ride. I have never driven an air ride single or tandem of any weight so I have no clue as to the ride. All the trucks I drove in my OTR days were non-air ride so any air ride truck will probably feel like a dream to me, especially if it also has an air ride cab.
