I am interested in comments about this type of rig. While not listed as a 'conversion', it has all the amenities. I am not sure about the contruction. I am not interested in the showy stuff inside, just about the box and how it is made. This is similar to other units I have found that have a 'double eagle' sleeper.

This type of sleeper is usually built like a vault, albeit a very light weight vault, so it will endure constant over-the-road use. Aluminum cage construction is covered with an aluminum skin, usually riveted, sometimes also adhesive-bonded.
This dealer seems to specialize in trucks with large sleepers, almost all intended for heavy over-the-road use.

....without the glitz it would be worth about 100k.....but the picture of my x-wife on the hood is worth the extra 85k.....well, actually not now-when she was younger and skinney......now the whole side of a trailer is not big enough to get her likeness on......may be if it were pulling doubles.....anyway these are a speciality market and usually way over priced going in.....near the end of the year they go down a lot in order to get them off the lot -cuz after 90 days the dealer has to make payments[called floor plan] on them just like you and I.....so I'd keep a close watch and go in for a look-see after 90 days....might come out with a real deal....OTOH your insurance company will be really interested, I'm sure, in giving you a quote on the comp-collision side of a policy....NOT!.....be prepaired to bend over big time even if they will issue a policy with coverage-It's going to be interesting to learn If they make you get a rider to cover the paint.....geofkaye
