if black water is in the gray water tank, could there be an odor/vent issue?
won't the odor / gasses in the (dirty) gray tank escape thru the sinks and shower drain? are the p-traps enough?
on a black holding tank it vents thru the roof and toilet is sealed with the valve & water to prevent gasses escaping into the living area.
