Your mess is as bad as mine, the reason for the inverter is to power the usb hub and I charge my camera batteries going down the road if I need too, I can plug in a phone charger too, run a laptop all day plugged in. I just thought while I was at it, might as well!

Sure you have enough remotes?? To me more the better!!!

I haven't really found the need to put an INVERTER up front (I've got an outlet just behind the passenger seat that is tied to the inverter, but honestly I've never used it for anything while driving.
