trailers present problems when camping....most campgrounds don't have trailer storage so you gotta figure out what (if anything) you can do w/ the trailer or tow dolly.

if i HAD to have a trailer it would be enclosed - and i sure as hell wouldn't feel the need to put any stickers on it (which serve only to give a clue to thieves imo).

personally -ive got a 16 foot flat utility trailer - you can't beat it for the versatility imo - but theres no security when it comes to its contents & theres no protection from weather.

if all you're doing is hauling a dingy or toad (for use when camping) then flat towing is the way to go. Ive towed our wrangler well over 20k miles....the jeep shows 7k miles on the odometer...for the cost of a trailer i can buy a LOT of car/jeep tires....im not worried about wearing out the tires on the jeep from flat towing.
