This is what I used and had no problems. I did clean everything with isopropyl alcohol first but did not sand anything. I used the poly on the aluminum to steel and used the tape on the aluminum panel to aluminum panel overlap. These are the products designed for what we are doing and allows the panels to move in heat / cooling cycles. The product you are using calls for sanding both surfaces with a 80 grit paper and is for bonding small repair panels on cars permanently. I don't believe if will allow the panels to move. So in the sun the panels will wrinkle like crazy.
