i just installed a intelipower converter charger, with the charge wizard - im happy with it.

I had a pos paralax (burnt it, by plugging in to an outlet that had a shorted ground)....the paralax was a trickle charger & could boil batteries dry if i youre not careful....i never relied on it for charging batteries - i always break the battery connection & use independent battery-tender maint. chargers....i need to break this old habit & rely on the intelipower more

i almost suggest that you could MANUALLY transfer the connection or break(er) the connection between power sources...but the purpose built automatic transfer switches WORK...and require no intervention...im sure either of those is fine...you might want to google for a better price.

all this leads to the next upgrade or level of protection - wiring & surge protection.
dont make the same mistake i made - i got lazy and didnt properly test the outlet i was plugging into (ground short) and damn near had an electrical fire.
