OK, here's what I think you've said.

1. Truck - install something like this:
*

The only problem is, the ones I've found have twist-lock connectors instead of two blades and a round prong. I have, however, found a photo of a hatch with a pigtail, e.g. a male connector on a segment of 10/3 like this:
*

There's a 50A version for the truck: *

I'm not really keen on such as this and prefer the one above though it seems it'll lock me into a proprietary primary cord of 30' like this one:
*

Alternatively, I buy a short 30A adapter like this 50A version:
*

2. Shop building - install a 30A, 120VAC outlet like this:
*

3. Buy an appropriate long cord: 30' seems to be concensus. And consider carrying a 50' extension (for a total of 80' of 10/3). This doesn't seem excessive since the AC load is diesel-powered and thus, only relatively small loads are anticipated.

4. DC stuff:
Large: * (do I use ordinary low-voltage boxes?)
Small: * (where do I find small low voltage boxes?)
Light switch: *
18: LED fixture: 18
Overhead dome fixture: *
15W 12V Fluorescent (for home-type fixture): *
Sconce type fixture: *

So what am I missing? I'll need a 12V panel, right? Do these come with breakers or automotive blade type fuses? What about a transfer switch for when I plug into shore power, do I want manual or automatic? Any preferences?

So many questions, so little time.
