Now I understand what they mean by the good old days. I did an inframe on my Big Cam 400 Cummins in 1980: Inframe kit $1250, cummins reman heads (3ea) $600, reman injectors (6ea) $450, new bearings and seals in turbo $400, oil, filters, hoses, belts and misc $200. Started it on Friday afternoon and finished Sunday evening. Dyno test at Cummins $125. And I thought those prices were High! I guess inflation effects everything but freight rates.... they sure haven't increased that much.
