I tried a few days ago to upload some photos and think I got the same warning as you did.
I believe the photos have to be in the right format, like a jpeg, not a gif...???
I'm no expert on this stuff. Just know how to push the buttons and when it works, success. When it fails, I'm lost.
I just tried to upload a photo, the photo upload failed and here is the warning I got
