From what I know, the difference between "standard MH construction" and that used by Showhauler and many other truck converters is that most truck converters use a STEEL tube cage and heavy aluminum...

Probably, but being that most cars nowdays are front-wheel drive, and MOST towed cars are of the smaller, FWD persuasion, I would doubt that it's as big a problem as it might appear....
