Is it possible to re-program the <set> limit of my cruise control ??
It wont permit me to set it any higher than 70mph (about 71.5 gps)... There are times that id like to be able to set it just a little higher 75 (max).

doc - did they give an estimate of how much it would cost to reprogram ? (how many years ago did they tell you this) ?
begs the question - what else can they program/re-program ?

I've heard some say the Mercedes engine is made by Detroit and is basically a Detroit. Yet I've heard others say no, it's a Mercedes engine and has no connection with Detroit and shares no parts? But maybe this is a thread hijack so never mind that.
I'm pretty sure you can get it programmed for higher speeds. You can also program it to default to different gears to start from stopped too, I think. My jake brake doesn't activate if the cruise control power switch is turned on (doesn't have to be cruising at a set speed). If yours is like that it can be programmed out too. I don't mind this so I've kept it that way.

@ Bob - its definitely a Detroit - everything (but the valve cover) is stamped, sticker-ed or labeled Detroit Diesel
