if you are talking outside walls i have read on here to use sikaflex 252. i dont know where to get it.

Sikaflex 252 is the product used on our rig. Use Google to search for 'sikaflex 252' or check Amazon. They had it last time I checked. Warning: it's pricey stuff.

I found some Sikaflex 252 at Northwest Trailer Repair in Fargo, ND. They had it by the case and it was about 18 months ago when I bought it. I think I paid $7 per tube and the stuff seems to work great. We were putting aluminum onto steel.

....IF you are bonding aluminum to steel one needs to insulate them from each other as well as fastening one to the other...steel and aluminum will cause white rust at contact points.....3-M makes a tape called VHB and it is used to bond the steel frame work to the aluminum sheeting...and the sheets to each other....geofkaye and the Rivercity Girlz....

Geofkaye - you certianly seem to be very knowledgable on all these issues...my question would be if the sikaflex would serve as this "insulation"? when we put some sheets on it appears to make a nice thin insulation layer (maybe 1/32" or less).

....might work....but when are you going to have a failure?....only you will know down the road and repairs are a B-ATCH with the any quality adhesive or tape....do it right the first time....keep it clean and the bond will last forever...get any dust to fingerprint oil and you are going to have a lapse in the bond....which means you are going to get really good at your own personal swearing.....How do I know this?....one panel replacement will change your whole attitude about bonding anything to anything......I INSIST ON SCREWS OR POP RIVETS ON MY OWN STUFF....I HATE BONDING WORSE THAN A CASE OF VD!....geofkaye and the Rivercity Girls......

Manus bond AM 25 is a great adhesive for all metals wood etc I used it to bond tile to alumunumn steps.and many other jobs on my rig top notch stuff here is link www.manus.net I had to order I think 12 tubes hope this helps
