Default I'm King of the Pin!

G'day All,

It has been a while, but I still hard at my 4700 buildup. The latest project was rebuilding the front end. There is nothing more fun than replacing the king pins and thrust bearings on the front end of an International 4700! (completely kidding!) However despite the banging, cussing, and prying, it is all back together with no more squeaking or grinding when I turn. Figured i would give an update,

Dodger

Good job. I rebuilt the front end on my '87 van several years ago. I still remember how fun it was to drive after it got all tightened up. I'm guessing your truck will be the same. Isn't it fun to get something to work though?

I can vouch for no fun on king pins. Haven't done any in years, but I have memories of the air hammer and "hot wrench" to get it done.

I will grease these things daily if it will make changing them easier next go round. The kit the I bought from the International dealer came with new grease fittings, which was nice because the origional ones were broken off on my truck.
