Hi . im building a toterhome to pull my race car trailer .this is my first build . was woundering if any one had any sugestions on what size and thighness of material to use . don't want to build it to light or to heavy.also were is a good place to buy parts and a idea were to lay out of for tanks and generator compartments . thanks jlrcnd

find a truck salvage yard or truck shop. buy a section of frame the same size or one that will slide over your frame.

jlrcnd,
Look under Coach in the making "framing the walls" and you may get some ideas. I am currently building a Toterhome to pull my race car trailer.The layout is contingent on the truck itself: Tandem or single axle,where the tanks are mounted,etc.
I have found there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum.Just ask away and welcome aboard.
