Need some measurements... please

I need some help guys.

I am working on some plans to build my own toterhome and am drawing up these plans to scale on my computer.

I need a few measurements to help me be a bit more accurate.

For those with a class 8 truck. Can you please measure from the front of the truck to the rear of the "cab." I'm planning on using a day cab truck, so I just need the cab and not sleeper.

I know they probably won't match my future truck exactly but it will give me an idea as I work out a floor plan.

Thanks

Search the specs for the kind of truck you're thinking about. You'll see "BBC" which is Bumper to Back of Cab. For a Peterbilt 379 I think its 132" or 11'.

Good luck. What kind of software are you using for the drawing?

Peterbilt 379 long hood is 132"
Peterbilt 379 short hood is 119"
Peterbilt 377 is 122"
Kenworth T800 is 114" or 122.5
Freight liner FLD120 is 120", Classic XL IS 132", FLD112 is 112"
Western Star 4900's are 109 to 132" depending on configuration.

Every make/model has its own designations and bbc's so you need to specify before you can figure out BBC.

Sweet... thanks for the info.

It's Corel Draw X6. I bought it for exact reasons like this. To be able to draw things exactly to scale. It has really helped me with some other smaller projects I've done. This really helps me do a proper layout since I and working with the limited 45'.
