Door seal
 

If you have ever gone to the truck dealer to get replacement door seals (weather strip) then you have received the same sticker shop I did. I called www.uni-grip.com because I save a tone of money with their accordion seal when I connected the cab to the box. Well, they sent me free samples to check the application and then sold me enough door seal for both doors for $45. Just thought I would pass the information along.

I built the opening in my box to match the original sleeper opening. My plan was to utilize the existing sleeper boot. After closely examing the boot, I noticed some weather cracking and deceided to replace it. Big sticker shock. $251.00 from Kenworth. Not sure why it's so expensive. It looks like an oversize tube type tire flap.
Now the question. How expensive is the accordion seal and how does it attach to the cab and box? Do you have any leakage problems? Thanks Michael

I think I paid $75 for the seal, and it snaps right in place. Uni-grip is helpful too. Ask for tom

If you want a fail safe seal btwn the boot & the cab/motorhome body, use some urthane windshield adhesive to glue the boot in. . . . just don't ever plan on taking it loose later on.
