damm it: cant find Awning control

Understand i purchased the truck used -

2004 Haulmark 42 foot - I've got the automatic awning (rolls up in high winds or cold) - ive got the remote (key fob) and the switch inside the door, but i can NOT find the controller (joins the switch and the anemometer) !

i see the wires coming off the switch (near the coach entry door)...but i loose sight of the wires behind the fridge.

there is NO controller in ANY of the basement storage bins (where i would expect to find the box to enable (or by pass) the anemometer.

does ANYONE have any idea where they may have hidden the control box ?

it is a weatherpro awning control

Not sure If I can help you...I have a 2010 Renegade and mine in in a cabinet right above the entry door. Just a small box with a light and switch on. To bad it is'nt winter..below freezing you would hear the beeping from the box. Have you called haulmark????

yup ive looked in EVERY cabinet & basement storage.
the MANUEL extend/retract switch is just inside the entry door - i follow those wires (and by the wiring diagram they connect to the controller/box)...i loose sight of the wires behind the fridge where they go UNDER the truck in to a loom

What about one of those tone generator things? You attach it to a wire, and then the field it creates is picked up by a handheld receiver, and you can follow the wire..

If needed, I can try and find a link to one..

I have one - but its not the best thing to use on wires that are carrying current.

so turn off the power! ;)

maybe pack the wind sensor with ice and wait to see if the control box starts to beep thinking the temp is below freezing??? or something to creat high wind movement?

What about under the fridge? Or, what about behind the cover on the outside of the fridge? Or behind the cover on the outside of the water heater? There's usually enough room in both those places for the controller. What about in a storage compartment hidden behind the entertainment center? Mine is in a compartment. It's about the size of a cigar box.

i found it - its mounted under the jack-knife sofa (on the curb side)...wind sensor (switch) was disabled/off, and i know why....i enabled the wind sensor just to check it...it works...too well, thing rolled up in the slightest breeze sitting in our driveway !
