I have spent countless hours searching the net and calling DMV and talking to the clueless "in my matter" ladies at the DMV office... and still have no real leads on how to go about getting one titled from another state and reg it as an RV. I spent the last 30 minutes or so at the DMV office and they gave me paperwork for rebuilding a vehicle, but it has parts in it about combining VIN numbers and such as like that.
Has anyone done this on here in Texas that could help me out on which papers I need, and exactly what I need to get it reg'd as an RV? Thanks in advance!! Shorty

To answer my own question...
You have to call the DMV and make an Appointment with a DPS trooper to not only visibly inspect you, your paper work, vehicle, but also the modifications made to vehicle to consider it as a RV. Once you have his paperwork, you are now on a time sensitive mission. You need to have a CERTIFIED scale weight of your vehicle AFTER mods. You also need to make certain it has the proper inspection done. They are easy enough to pass for my 21 yr old diesel, but it was a pain to find the right place. After this step, you can park it and start driving you DD to the DMV to finish up paperwork and I only have 1 thing to say about the last DMV visit... BRING LOST OF CASH!!! Hope this helps anyone else, if you have questions, please ask I have completely enjoyed this conversion and would do it again if the need arose.
