Newbie here with a question or two. What is the thought of overdrive and how many speed transmission is best? I am going to get a Volvo 610 and have it singled. I like the idea plus pulling a 29 foot Alpenlite fiver the 610 is the ideal soloution because we want to go to the mountains and I believe this is the best hauler for us.

.....why worry about over drive with a 10 speed Volvo 610....the top gear is probably .74....any more and you MIGHT run into a lugging situation-not good!....geofkaye
