Looks like the North Carolina State Fairgrounds has lots of camping. I don't know anything about the Raleigh, NC, area.

Keep me posted on the dates, would love to meet everyone and check out their rigs. There is a veterans park campground here in mt airy, 27030. Not a lot to do around here but there are some beautiful scenery, and of course you could visit "Mayberry" our town is the hometown of Andy Griffith and his show was loosely based on our little town
