Washer Dryer

While I was in Clewiston I went to the local junk store and ran across this 120 volt Stacker for 50.00! The door switch was the only problem. For what ever reason the washer timer quit working and for another 50.00 I got a rebuild one. Not bad and it makes my wife happy. I have it roughed in for now.
I took the front closet and took the front off. I used a 3" hole saw and went thru the first layer of ply wood and I nicked the hot water line. No biggey
The more I cut around the more I found, cold water and the gray tank line!
Luck was with me. So I have it all except the power, but I am going to run a line from the basement breaker to the washer. And to extend the front out about an inch, rehang the doors. Back to normal. NO closet space for more of the wife's clothes. That's why we need a trailer....LOL

Cool. My rig is too small for a washer/dryer. We've used a laundromat when on long trips.

We really wanted to do that upgrade. Renegade wanted a pretty penny to do it, and I would have lost my closet and my manual archive (lower cabinet containing a pile of manuals), so we put it on the back burner. Nicely done!

I like it - if for nothing else its a FULL SIZED unit (or at least larger than the tiny RV units).

The main thing is that my wife can do her small loads (like at home) and be happy about it. We even dried going down the road. So no dirty clothes to wash when we go home.

we generally (TRY) not to do laundry when traveling - but it just ends up being more to do when we get home. I must say the last thing i want US to do when traveling or "glamp-ing" is to stand in some campground or small town coin-op or washateria.

with out a water & sewer connection i suspect we wouldn't do much washing - but on a weekend or long weekend (even dry camping at the track) it would be nice to have the option.

I know John (aka Thunderusone) says he uses his washer/dryer all the time.
