Insurance Crooks

Okay, I have insured my Kibbi Renegade through RV Insurance Specialists (International Insurance Group) for over 7 years. For a long time, they farmed it out to American Modern Insurance Co which sold their business to GMAC last year. GMAC carried the account for one year at the same price. This year, they jacked up the rate 70%!!!! I have no claims and no citations. They simply raised the price.

I have started to work with the RV Insurance Specialist agent to look at Blue Sky but, that company only pays out "appraised cash value" if there is a total loss and they typically do so on NADA stated value. Unfortunately most, if not all Truck Conversion coaches are not in NADA. When asked how they appraise if no NADA value is available, the Blue Sky people came back with vague answers and said I could dispute the appraisal via arbitration if I chose too.

In my opinion as a business person, this gives Blue Sky a huge contractual advantage to underpay and be abusive. I am awaiting the actual verbiage from the contract declarations and sections to move further. The people at RV Insurance Specialists seem have had to be pushed to get this far. I am about to stop recommending them.

So, I am looking for the following:

* Reports of positive experience with Blue Sky
* Any other insurance company that can provide a policy for stated value or replacement value for a 2006 coach.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

New to the forum. I recently purchased a 1995 Peterbilt tractor. I bought it with the idea of converting it from a tractor to a toy hauler by taking off the fifth wheel, building a flatbed, and installing a toy hauler fifth wheel to tow my 5th wheel flatbed with 2 mud trucks. I am wondering what is the best way to register & insure the truck as to avoid DOT tax and regulations. Any ideas? It is 100% for personal use
