Ok, most conversion MH's have a 40,000 lb tow capacity, but what should tongue weight not exceed?

Second any one have a golf cart on a platform behind their MH? Looked @ overbilt and blue ox, but they like that 3 prong hitch, obviously not an option.. any suggestions or designs out there?

Guess you did not get an answer on RVnet.

Well, I only can assume 10 to 15% of tongue weight? 4,000 to 6,000 lbs?

Most likely the real answer is just load your real axle to the limit. 20K or 23K, depending on what number you believe.

Check out this one for the 3 prong.

Go with the Blue Ox carrier and have a local welder make you a mount to fit our style hitch.

We sell Blue Ox and we had a carrier in the warehouse a few weeks ago which I was eyeing up. I also have a custom built golf cart, but most of the campgrounds we end up in do not are 2 small to even need one. Every so often though it would be nice and I just might set a carrier up this spring.

Got an answer on carriers, but I am kind of anal about weight, i'm the guy who weighs his trailer and finds the optimum place for equipment to sit etc...

I am still deciding if the golf cart is even worth it.... Some campgrounds allow them some don't.... Is it worth the $2000 to have it?? So many questions...

......I hate to add this BUT once ANY competant welder sees their designs......he could copy them in just a few hours of shop time.......at a lot less than they charge with NO shipping from the left coast......geofkaye

overbilt is an hour from me so no shipping there. I do have a welder giving me a cost, but sometimes he's out of his monkey on pricing.

....Camping Dutchman: ......there is more than one welder in your neck of the woods -I'm betting.....they charge about $45.00 an hour these days ....make them give you a price up front in writing.....and don't give them any more than 10% up front like the BBB says to do....._everything_ must be in writing also....geofkaye
