onan vs powertech / cat vs kubota
what is perfered buy the gen pop ?
for my new conversion I ordered a powertech 12k /4cyl kubota
Now I should say that I have been an onan dealer for 25 years and I am a dealer for both of the engines used perkins (cat) 3cyl in the powertech and kubota !
this being said I like the 4 cyl kubota powered powertech better than the rest , even tough I can do my own warranty for onan ! (but only the engine on the powertech)
the powertech looks like a better unit to me and it appears way eaiser to work on ! am I missin something here ?
how do others feel??? T.

I have had an Onan and the Powertech with the Kubota and now the Powertech with the Cat. I really do not have a preference on which engine is in the Powertech but I did have a bit of trouble with the Onan. But all was under warranty and after replacing the entire generator it served me well for 4 more years.
I have not develope an informative opinion on the Powertech.

The Bus I leased had a 20kw! Do I need one that big? Will a little 12kw work?
