The difference in the trucks is 8"

FL112 means it's the 112'BBC and fl120 is 120"BBC

112 is 112"BBC Bumper to back of cab, tighter turning radius, CANNOT get a detroit it doesn't fit

120 is 120" BBC Bumper to back of cab. Can get detroit and it's 8" longer in the hood

The 112 is all you would need and the Mercedes or Cat engine are both great engines.

Thanks, almost all of the conversion manufacturers are using the 120, not sure why.

I hope the 120 is only 8" (inches) longer than the 112. https://www.truckhome.com/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif

Good question, I asked my self the same, why most converters use the CL120 instead of the CL112.

Might be the cab and interior trim out - my 112 is a business class interior and cab. The 120 was more a OTR truck style.

According to Freightliner dealer if your using the same engine(i.e.Mercedes4000)only difference is hood. Would think saving the 8 inches would be beneficial to overall length in a conversion.
