How close can the exhaust pipe be to the fuel tank and transmission when you have a 100gal fuel tanks on each side. I have a few inches of clearance from the transmission, fuel line and fuel tank.

that looks fine to me. the drawing is awsome what did you use for the drawing? mase

I agree with Mase. Looks like you have plenty of clearance around everything. I don't think you have anything to to worry about in this instance. Nice drawing!

......you can always add a shield over the exhaust pipe or wrap it with th at new tape that the hot rod guys use to wrap headers if you have any concerns about radiant heating....I'd be more concerned about wires and plastic airlines than anything else.....geof

I was thinking of a shield by the transmission, but was not sure if it was really needed.

I used autodesk inventor and took a srceen shot then imported it to deneba canvas and added the text and highlights. Inventor is a 3d cad program which has really helped in planing of my conversion.

THAT is one COOL autocad program! Is it very hard to use?

.....why arched Doors?....they will UP your construction cost by about 150.00 per door in paper/cardboard and much more in any solid wood construction....what about using sliders[pockets]with plywood/laun coverings....30" wide crapper should be 32"min. and you need room for a toilet somewhere so thats 24" out of the 30" you have speced.....CLOSE! but possible for a narrow walkway...wall hung sink is easy. I'm going to an electric toilet as soon as it arrives for TEXAS....so no holding tanks and no water lines to fool with....and NO emptying at a Dumping station-EVER!.....keep sending your designs-seems like you got a good handle on things....geof

As far as cad programs it is easy to use, other cad programs like catia, ug, pro e have more options but are harder and slower to use.

.....why arched Doors? I hope it will match the arched roof. The 30" dimension is on the roof not the crapper which is about 4'x 5'.
My design layout takes alot from different boat layouts, the bedroom is like a "cave" found in may boats, the same with the bathroom. It gives me more space for everything else. I have allways wonder why a $200,000 boat has a better interior than a $400,000 motor coach?
The electric toilet sounds good, I would like hear what you think about it after a few uses.

....Now that you show the top view, I can see the layout much better...sorry for the crack about the small crapper I like bathrooms designed for real people....curves are expensive but modern coaches are full of them and varnished natural wood[yuck!].....why? is beyond me-guess it looks to be "expensive".[Try white ceilings- dark green walls and dark gray carpet with dark natural wood accents] The term "high-line" is also over used today- as moderm materials are far cheaper/more durable and look just like natural materials at about 40% of the cost. And, Of course,- the Amish issue is blown out of porportion- Look at the cabinet work carefully and you can see what I mean-Your layout looks like an excellent design for entertaining guests....I'd sure like to see the finished pix if you get the time. Keep building and sending pix.....geof
